Day 2 of my Three Days of Rosé celebration swirls on with a zesty little sip from Spain - El Coto do Rioja Rosado 2014 ($12). An equal blend of powerhouse Spanish grapes Tempranillo and Garnacha, El Coto de Rioja Rosé offers a bit more complexity than you might expect for a wine at this price point - tangy and fruity with luscious cherry and rose flavors balanced by a vivacious acidity and a subtle herbal quality. This wine is lovely in the glass and even lovelier to taste!
