When I used to work at an office in Midtown Manhattan, it seemed that we spent a great deal of the morning deciding what to eat for lunch - usually, the best part of the work day! Starting around noon, a mad rush of office workers hits the streets in search of the perfect sustenance from street eats to power lunches. Lunch Hour NYC, a new exhibition at the NYPL, looks back at more than a century of New York lunches from the Automat to the Four Seasons. Also, on weekdays through Labor Day, the NYPL is partnering with the New York City Food Truck Association and Bryant Park to bring food trucks to the library this summer to sell lunch at Bryant Park Plaza.
