CHANEL fashions are the very definition of chic and their signature fragrances smell divine but what would a CHANEL beverage taste like? Well, if you guessed a fine French wine you would be correct! I was surprised to learn that CHANEL actually owns a winery - the Château Rauzan-Ségla. Located in the Margaux appellation, the winery was founded in 1661 by Pierre de Rauzan and acquired by CHANEL in 1994.
On its 350th Anniversary and to celebrate the exceptional quality of the 2009 vintage Château Rauzan-Ségla has announced a very special – one time only – collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld (Creative Director, CHANEL). To honor the anniversary and exceptional vintage, Lagerfeld has brought his iconic drawing style to the label with a rendering of the Château Rauzan-Ségla. This Grande Cru Classe Margaux will be available in March at fine wine merchants nationwide for $129 per bottle and can also be pre-ordered.
This wine definitely sounds worthy of pairing with a chic little black dress! Would you expect anything less from CHANEL?
