Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World, has been on my travel wish list for several years. In addition to the non-stop music, I've also heard that Austin has great food and friendly fellas- sounds like a winning combination to me!
On April 14th, Austin will welcome a new player to town when Travaasa opens its doors. A newly launched experiential hotel brand, Travaasa Destinations, will also open a location in Hana-Maui (Hawaii) in June. Travaasa's pricing model is similar to that of a spa resort and includes all programming, accommodations, gourmet meals and a daily spa credit.
Speaking of the spa, at Travaasa Austin it is situated around an infinity-edge pool with a spectacular view of Lake Travis. There are 11 treatment rooms (including a room for couples), hot tub, and sauna. Travassa Austin also offers treatments that incorporate the city's musical culture through choreographed massage movements that are set to music by artists with prominent Austin roots, such as Willie Nelson.
