Jane Birkin in Concert

Accomplished singer and actress Jane Birkin returns to FIAF for two wonderful evenings of song. Birkin, who began her career in the 1960s with singer Serge Gainsbourg, will perform songs from her most recent album, Enfants d’hiver, as well as old favorites from her days with Gainsbourg. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mae Tao Clinic, which provides free health care for Burmese refugees on the Thai border.
Unmasked: The Story of the Venetian Carnival

The Italian American Museum presents “Unmasked: The Story of the Venetian Carnival.” The exhibition will feature actual Venetian carnival masks, as well as acclaimed photographer Anita Sanseverino’s colorful interpretive essay of the centuries-old tradition.
Chinese New Year Film Series

Every Thursday the brand new David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center hosts FREE concerts. This celebration of the Chinese New Year features the amazing mask-changing, intricate make-up, and choreography of Chinese opera; the daring contortions of Chinese acrobatics; and the opulence of costumed folk dancers.
