Who didn't breathe a sigh of relief and let out a hearty cheer upon hearing that 155 passengers had survived the US Airways crash landing into the frigid Hudson River in New York City? Preliminary reports indicate that the Airbus A320 en route to Charlotte, NC lost power in both engines when the plane was struck by a flock of geese. No lives were lost thanks to Captain. Chelsey "Sully" B. Sullenberger's phenomenal aviation skills.
Many of us may take flying for granted but this incident is a reminder of that things can go wrong. I don't care where Sully is flying next - I want to book a ticket on that flight. Hmm, will select-a-pilot be a new booking option?
I can't help but wonder who will play Sully in the inevitable movie. Why not Brad Pitt? He is a mega star and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button shows that with movie magic he can age gracefully on screen.
