Organized by the Austrian Trade Commission, Alejandra Cicognani, and Jenny Capitain, Vibrant Austria was held in the West Village at the trendy Ramscale Loft and featured catering by acclaimed Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner (If you haven't been to his restaurant Wallse, it is a must. )
Instead of a formal runway show, the Vibrant Austria models mingled with guests and struck dramatic poses on the outdoor terrace against the priceless backdrop of the clear blue sky and the Hudson River. The designs ranged the gamut from
avant garde and architectural to flirty
and feminine. The featured labels
included AND_i, Anna Aichinger, Brandmair, Drozdik, Edith A'Gay, Florian Jewelry, Milch Ecofashion, Rosa Mosa, Schella Kann, Ute Ploier, and Wilfried Mayer.
VIbrant Austria ended on a sweet note - each guest received a gift bag containing a delicious pastry from Vienna's legendary Demel pastry shop. Austria has definitely captured my attention with their cute dresses and yummy pastries!
